Former U.S. Space Force Chief Scientist Dr. Joel Mozer Joins SQS as Strategic Advisor

Secured Quantum Services (SQS), a leader in quantum-secure communication infrastructure, today announced that Dr. Joel B. Mozer, former Chief Scientist of the United States Space Force, has joined the company as a Strategic Advisor.
Dr. Mozer brings over three decades of leadership at the forefront of space science, quantum technologies, AI, and autonomous systems. As the inaugural Chief Scientist of the U.S. Space Force, Dr. Mozer directed a $300M annual research and development portfolio and was instrumental in shaping the service’s long-term science and technology strategy.
Prior to his tenure at Space Force, Dr. Mozer served as Chief Technologist for the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Space Vehicles Directorate, where he pioneered advancements in autonomous space systems, AI-driven decision-making, and resilient architectures for national security space missions.
