DR. CRISTIAN JURA
Quantum Legal Researcher
Prof. Univ. Dr. Cristian Jura is a distinguished academic and public servant with over 25 years of experience in international law, human rights, and equality. A professor of Public International Law, Diplomatic Law, and International Humanitarian Law at several universities, he has dedicated his career to advancing education and justice through both scholarly and governmental roles.
Dr. Jura holds a Ph.D. in Military Sciences from the “Carol I” National Defense University in Bucharest, alongside advanced studies in security and international law completed at prestigious institutions including the National Defense College, George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Germany, and the Austrian Study Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution in Austria. He also earned a Master’s in International Humanitarian Law from the University of Bucharest and has completed specialized training programs with the Diplomatic Academy in Vienna and the Berghof Research Centre for Constructive Conflict Management in Berlin.
Appointed by the Romanian Government in 2000 as State Secretary at the Department for Interethnic Relations, Dr. Jura was later elected by the Romanian Parliament to multiple mandates as a member of the Steering Board of the National Council for Combating Discrimination. Since 2018, he has served as Romania’s expert representative to the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) under the Council of Europe.
In recognition of his lifelong commitment to humanitarian law and equality, he was appointed Honorary Ambassador of the Romanian Red Cross for International Humanitarian Law in 2024.
